Over 4-5ths of the surface of the earth is composed of water but only a tiny proportion of this is drinkable.

We live our lives with water; it is the ubiquitous solvent of our daily dirt. We all need fresh water to drink but everyday we use billions of litres of drinking water to wash away the abjected dirt of our own, and of other organism’s organic decomposition.

We will need in the very near future to re-assess our use of water for such processes and along with that our relationship to the abject.

This film locates itself interstitially between domestic space and the Ocean in order to examine the three-way relationship between society, the abject and water.
